Welcome to the 2018 California Pepsi USBC Youth Championships. To date, the Pepsi Youth Championships nationwide has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships — it is estimated that at least $500,000 in scholarships will be awarded nationwide this season alone. By conducting the league level competition you are giving your bowlers an opportunity to help finance their college education. California awarded $50,000 in scholarships last year and has awarded over $903,801 since 1998.
For the 18th year in a row, www.BowlersParadise.com will be sponsoring this event along with www.EliteBowling.com. Also each pro shop/center in the eight hosting Pepsi District Finals will be donating a bowling ball for our fundraising raffle at each site to help us raise more scholarship dollars. Thank you for your support and participation in one of the largest scholarship events in California. Last year we worked extremely hard with your help in raising funds so that we could award $50,000 in scholarships! IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
ALL QUALIFYING SCORES ARE SCRATCH. The ratio from League Level to District is 1:2 per league/division/window (be sure to update BLS or Treasure software if applicable). The ratio from District to State is 1:5 per division (U12/U15/U20).
TEN AGE DIVISIONS:
All qualifying will be scratch and will be based on the bowler’s birthdate:
– U8 Boys/Girls – Birthdate is 8/1/2009 or later
– U10 Boys/Girls – Birthdate is 8/1/2007 thru 7/31/09
– U12 Boys/Girls – Birthdate is 8/1/2005 thru 7/31/07
– U15 Boys/Girls – Birthdate is 8/1/2002 thru 7/31/05
– U20 Boys/Girls – Birthdate is 8/1/1997 thru 7/31/02
LEAGUE LEVEL (Nov/Jan):
The two league level qualifying windows are NOVEMBER 4-17, 2017 & JANUARY 13-26, 2018. Every youth bowler should be given their FREE chance to qualify. (Youth leagues and youth bowlers must be USBC certified in order to participate).
DISTRICT FINALS (March):
District #1, 4, 6 & 7 Finals: MARCH 10-11, 2018
District #2, 3, 5 & 8 Finals: MARCH 17-18, 2018

- U8 & U10 Divisions will earn scratch and handicap scholarships at the District Finals
- U8 & U10 Champions (scratch) will earn a FREE entry into the 2018 Youth State Championships in July at Keystone Lanes in Norwalk (4 Champions x 8 Districts = 32 berths). See Youth Championships Page.
- U12, U15 & U20 first place finishers (scratch) will earn a $50 Scholarship award and an entry into the Semi-Finals event of the DW CHALLENGE (Aug). No alternates for Pepsi berths. Semi-Finals entry fees are required. (48 total)
- U12, U15 & U20 Divisions will earn handicap scholarships at the District Finals
- U12, U15 & U20 divisions will qualify to the State Finals (scratch) based on a ratio of 1:5 per division. IT IS THE STATE FINALIST’S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ONLINE BEFORE MARCH 30 TO SEE IF THEY QUALIFIED AND REGISTER ONLINE BY APRIL 13. Qualifiers will be posted online and coaches will be emailed. State Finals Registration (U12, U15 & U20 Divisions) is ONLINE ONLY at CalUSBC.com. RSVP WINDOW: MARCH 30 – APRIL 13.
