2024 HOF SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE RECIPIENT – DAWSON

2024 Hall of Fame Inductee
TY DAWSON

Ty Dawson was born in Muskegon, Mich., in 1953. His family moved to Riverside, Calif., in 1958. He began bowling at Tava Lanes at the age of 9, and his first 300 game was recorded in 1979, at Delrosa Lanes in San Bernardino. Dawson now has a total of 101-300’s, one of the highest totals in the country.

Dawson’s accomplishments in his 41 years as a USBC member are many, including 54-800 plus scores — the highest being an 844 in tournament action at Yosemite Lanes. He moved to Northern California in 1989, but that didn’t stop his assault on league and tournament records. Here are a few of his major victories: Continue reading 2024 HOF SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE RECIPIENT – DAWSON

PAM PANCOAST

Pam Pancoast is a native Californian, currently residing in Lomita. She started bowling at the age of 9 and has never looked back, averaging over 190 in her twenties and over 200 for the past 30+ years. Pam has always been athletic, enjoying many sports, including owning a horse for 24 years. She didn’t start competitive bowling until her thirties and credits her husband, Jon, with her focus and success. “I would never have been as competitive in bowling were it not for my husband,” said Pancoast. 2024 HOF MERITORIOUS SERVICE RECIPIENT – WILLIAMS

2024 Hall of Fame Inductee
DAVE WILLIAMS

Meritorious service? Are you aware that in 1975, Williams rolled six 300 games in an eight-month span — something that had never been done in sanctioned competition? Or that the next year he set a California full-season average record of 230 for 75 games (as a member of a five-bowler team)? Or that he won the All-America Youth Bowling Championship in 1970? The list of on-the-lanes accomplishments in the Central Sonoma County B.A. and Petaluma B.A. goes on… and on.

BOB WARNING

Bob Warning began bowling as a 12 year old at Sun City Bowl in 1978. He remembers wanting to be a pro bowler since the age of 17. “It was all I ever wanted to do,” said the 33 year USBC member from Menifee.

In 1991 he won the Cal State Masters, beating the likes of Jim Murtishaw, Alvin Lou and Marv Sargent. Nine years later he would join those men in capturing the Cal State Scratch Team Championship. The same team would repeat a year later. Bob also teamed with Marv Sargent in 2000 to win the PBA Regional Doubles in Dublin.  Continue reading 2024 HOF SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE RECIPIENT – WARNING

2024 Hall of Fame Inductee
DONNA ADAMEK

Donna Adamek grew up just a couple of minutes from Columbia Bowl in Duarte. “I would practice there for hours after my coaching sessions with Tosh Kinjo and Bobbe North,” remembers Adamek. All that practice led to the Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow Award in 1975, and she soon embarked on a professional career that included 19 career titles in 16 years.

Among those 19 professional titles were five majors – two USBC Queens titles, two U.S. Open titles, and the Sam’s Town Invitational in Las Vegas. Donna also won four titles in the USBC National Championships – the Doubles in 1981 and 1982, and Team titles in 1981 and 1987. She was honored nationally as Bowler of the Year four times.  Continue reading 2024 HOF PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE RECIPIENT – ADAMEK
