2023 SoT WINNER

EMMA SHANER SELECTED AS 2023 STAR OF TOMORROW WINNER

EMMA SHANER is a senior at Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita CA.  She has a GPA of 4.14 and will be attending college in Missouri in the fall where she will major in Criminal Justice. Her teachers describe her as a quiet leader, unassuming, respectful and humble.  She leads by example in the classroom and on campus.  On the lanes, Emma is a fierce competitor, carrying 190 average over the last few years.  She has a high game of 279 and high series of 713 and has won several local events.  It is our honor to name Emma Shaner as the 2023 California USBC star of tomorrow.

Emma also won the 2023 Braheme Family Memorial Scholarship for $1,000. Awards were presented at the CUSBC Awards Dinner on June 10, 2023 at Hotel Piccadilly in Fresno.

2022 SOT WINNERS

PAMELA FALLER and DANIEL HONG SELECTED AS 2022 STAR OF TOMORROW WINNERS

PAMELA FALLER is a senior at Anderson W. Clark Magnet High School in Glendale and has been bowling league at Jewel City Bowl for over 9 years. She recently shot her first 300 earlier this year and has a high series of 726. Pamela bowls all of the local and state events each year and has attended Junior Gold in Indiana, Texas and Michigan.

Pamela is very busy with non-bowling services such as: Key Club, School Yearbook (Design Editor), School Newspaper (Managing Editor), School Magazine, Glendale High School Volleyball (Team Manager for Girls and Boys teams) and Holy Family Catholic Church (community service).

Pamela comes from a bowling family. Her father was a nurse and a surgeon before he passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2017. His hard work to provide for her family and help those in the hospital has inspired Pamela to do the same. She plans on attending community college and then transferring to a university to study medical technology or microbiology.

In the meantime, Pamela enjoys bowling with her mom in all of the local tournaments. Congratulations Pamela on your scholarship award. We wish you the best of luck in school and your future endeavors!!

2020 SOT WINNERS

LEOJ CHIN and JENNIFER LOREDO SELECTED AS 2020 STAR OF TOMORROW WINNERS

LEOJ CHIN was a 4.0 GPA student from International Polytechnic High School in Pomona and will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design this fall studying film and television.

2019 SOT WINNER

ROMAN HEATH SELECTED AS 2019 STAR OF TOMORROW WINNER

Roman Heath resides in Modesto and has been bowling since the age of 7. He has countless numbers of accomplishments in bowling including 9 USBC certified 300 games, making it on the All Coast Team of 2018 and placing in the top 3 for various NC-JET tournaments. He also placed in the Diddy Watts and the CA Pepsi State tournaments. He’s also interested in one day coaching and helping bowlers with their game! He is a very well-rounded young man!

2016 SoT WINNER

WESLEY LOW, JR SELECTED AS 2016 STAR OF TOMORROW WINNER

This year’s Star of Tomorrow is awarded to WESLEY LOW, JR.  He is presently a student at Wichita State University working toward a degree in Business.  He would like to pursue his love of bowling by becoming a professional bowler.  He is also hoping to pursue a job in the bowling industry using the business degree that he will have.  While in High School he maintained a grade point average of 3.6 and was Palmdale’s Highland High School Valedictorian and Golden State Seal Merit Award Recipient.  He currently has a Grade Point Average of 3.76 at Wichita State University and holds a 244 average.  He has 12 800 series with a high of 833, and has bowled 12 300 games. 2014 SoT WINNER

TRE WEBBER, CENTRAL SONOMA COUNTY, SELECTED AS 2014 STAR OF TOMORROW

TRE WEBBER is the 18-year old son of Troy and Tari Webber of Rohnert Park, California and is currently a Senior at Analy High School in Sebastopol. He has maintained a 3.28 GPA throughout his three years of high school and ranked 4th in his class of 284 students.  Webber possesses many skills and qualities.  He is mechanically inclined; has natural technical abilities; is meticulous, maintains strong work ethics, is self-motivated, conscientious, and has proven to be a strong problem solver in many areas.  He is gifted with learning new technologies while working with his hands in many fields of woodworking, auto repair and computers, to name just a few, and has his goals set on furthering his education in one or more of these fields while in college. RYAN PEDEN is a 17-year old senior at Sanger High School and a member of the Central California USBC Association.  He has made his parents, Geoff and Darla, and grandparents Steve and Lillian most proud, for maintaining a straight “A” average currently at Sanger High. ROSE of Carpinteria, son of Frank and Leanne Rose, graduated at age 16 from the Kolbe Academy High School in Napa and is currently a second-year student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. FUJITA SELECTED FOR 2009 “STAR OF TOMORROW” SCHOLARSHIP

MICHAEL TAKEO FUJITA, JR.  is the 18-year old son of Mike and Kathi Fujita, from El Sobrante, California and is a Senior at De Anza High School in Richmond.
