EMMA SHANER is a Junior at Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita with a 3.90 GPA. She has been bowling league at Santa Clarita Lanes for over 5 years and serves as League Secretary in one or her many leagues. Emma has a high game of 279 and a high series of 713, which she just recently achieved bowling in an adult ladies tournament, which she also won!
Emma has been a Junior Gold member for 2 years and only misses league when there is a tournament, has a school function or is sick! When the center has any tournaments or Ball Demo’s, Emma is right there to help out. Emma goes to practice every day and also volunteers at the Club 300 pro shop.
One of Emma’s biggest goals for the future is to get recruited for a women’s collegiate bowling team. Being able to bowl on a team with women who share the same love for this sport means so much to her. She is also looking to go to college for Forensics Science or Criminology, in hopes to become a Crime Scene Investigator. In the future, after college Emma hopes to one day go professional and compete on the PWBA tour.
Emma is well on her way to achieving her future goals and we are very proud to award her this scholarship!
