Frank Weiler lives in San Bernardino and has been involved in bowling for over 65 years and is still very involved in reporting on the manybowling events he attends. Frank has promoted the sport of bowling as a writer and photographer for over 20 years.He has done so in an outstanding manner winning 7 writing awards – 5 National and 2 California State awards.His awards were for outstanding editorials, feature stories, and news stories about bowling. His winning awards in all three categories make him the winner of the “Triple Crown” of writing!
Alvin Lou who lives in El Cajon, operates a Pro Shop locally and is still very active in bowling. He has 35-300 games, 9-800 series and has 1st place finishes in the Cal State Masters, Cal State Scratch All-events, Cal State Scratch Singles, and Cal State Scratch Doubles. Alvin also has 2 PBA National titles, 4 PBA Western Regionals titles, 6 PCB titles, and 6 WCST titles.

ARLINGTON, Texas – Former Team USA member Wesley Low Jr. of Palmdale, California, is familiar with being a record holder, and he claimed another special place in bowling history Sunday when he rolled three consecutive perfect games during tournament competition.
This record never can be beaten, however, and Low’s name permanently will be etched into the United States Bowling Congress record book as the 36th bowler to roll a 900 series.
USBC YOUTH MEMBERSHIP CHANGE – EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2020USBC will lower the maximum age for USBC Youth membership to 18 starting with the 2020-21 season. Youth bowlers must be age 17 before starting the new bowling season. The decision to lower the maximum age from 20 to 18, with agreement from the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America and the IBC Youth Committee, will align bowling with other youth sports. ALSO, BOWLERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE TO JOIN A CERTIFIED USBC ADULT LEAGUE.
The CYC picks winners each year based on their finish in our youth state events such as the Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships, State Youth Championships and the Diddy Watts Youth State Singles Challenge. The winner will receive a FREE entry into the California Adult Championships. The purpose of this award is help the youth bowlers transition smoothly into the adult ranks of bowling competition. ARLINGTON, Texas – The Scholarship Management and Account Reporting for Tenpins (SMART) policy recently was updated to expand the use of SMART scholarships for student-related expenses.
Under the new guidelines, a student can use their SMART scholarships to be reimbursed for expenses related to tuition and certain related student expenses, or to have a payment made for such expenses as off-campus housing and/or student-loan debt.While there are now more ways for students to use their SMART scholarships, student-athletes must remain aware of the restrictions. LEOJ CHIN was a 4.0 GPA student from International Polytechnic High School in Pomona and will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design this fall studying film and television.
