CYC AWARDS $1,000 SCHOLARSHIP
to ARDEN HAN-WEI

Arden Han-Wei is a sophomore at St. Francis High School in Sacramento, where she currently has a 4.6 GPA. Arden bowled for 6 years as a one-hander and recently switched to two hands in 2023–and is enjoying bowling from a whole new perspective.  Arden is also a year-round golfer on NorCal’s youth tours.  Outside of sports, she also enjoys the fine arts, especially painting and sculpture. She is undecided on a career path but hopes to combine her strengths in math and science with her love of art.

to ASHLEY SOTO

Ashley Soto is a senior at Simi Valley High School and currently holds a 4.4 GPA and has been on the Dean’s list for the last three years. She is the 2022 DW Challenge Girls Champion, 2021 CA State All-Events champion and has one JBT title. She also has one 300 game and five 700 series to her credit.

Aside from bowling, she enjoys serving her community by working with her church to serve the homeless and is currently a Ventura County USBC youth board member.

Her other hobbies include photography and music. Ashley’s future goals are to go into education, combining her passion for learning and technology to shape the lives of future generations.


Award was presented at the CUSBC Awards Dinner on June 1, 2024 at the Holiday Inn Ontario Airport Hotel.
