WESLEY LOW, JR SELECTED AS 2016 STAR OF TOMORROW WINNER
This year’s Star of Tomorrow is awarded to WESLEY LOW, JR. He is presently a student at Wichita State University working toward a degree in Business. He would like to pursue his love of bowling by becoming a professional bowler. He is also hoping to pursue a job in the bowling industry using the business degree that he will have. While in High School he maintained a grade point average of 3.6 and was Palmdale’s Highland High School Valedictorian and Golden State Seal Merit Award Recipient. He currently has a Grade Point Average of 3.76 at Wichita State University and holds a 244 average. He has 12 800 series with a high of 833, and has bowled 12 300 games. None other than our infamous WESLEY LOW, JR from Palmdale has earned this special award. Wesley will receive a $500 scholarship and a free entry into the 2017 or 2018 CA State Open Championships.

This singles scholarship elimination event is for youth bowlers (handicap and scratch). The format is 5 game qualifying vying to enter the Semi-Finals. The Semi-Finals (5 games) will determine the top 8 boys scratch, top 8 girls scratch and top 8 handicap division finalists entering the double elimination finals.

BVL Committee – The Bowlers to Veterans Link Hospitals and Presentations Report
On behalf of the bowlers in California, the CUSBC BVL Committee has donated $117,586 to the following Veterans Centers in California for 2014-2015 season. From 1959 through 2014-2015 the California BVL Fund has donated $9,183,478.55 to our California Veterans. We want to thank all of you for your continued support of the California BVL.
The Senior Singles Tournament is open to all California USBC members at least 50 years of age at the time of participation in the tournament. The format is six games total + handicap. This tournament is held in a different location each year. Winners in set age classifications will automatically qualify to the USBC National Seniors Tournament. Entry for the national event will be paid by the CUSBC.
