BVL 2014 REPORT

BVL Committee – The Bowlers to Veterans Link Hospitals and Presentations Report 

On behalf of the bowlers in California, the CUSBC BVL Committee has donated $125,564.00 to the following Veterans Centers in California for 2013-2014 season.  From 1959 through 2012-2014 the California BVL Fund has donated $9,179,685.19 to our California Veterans.  We want too Thank all of you for your continued support of the California BVL.

SR SINGLES RESULTS

2014 Senior Singles

The Senior Singles Tournament is open to all California USBC members at least 50 years of age at the time of participation in the tournament. The format is six games total + handicap. This tournament is held in a different location each year. Winners in set age classifications will automatically qualify to the USBC National Seniors Tournament. Entry for the national event will be paid by the CUSBC.

CYC AWARDS TWO $500 SCHOLARSHIPS for 2014

The CUSBC CYC has selected two youth bowlers for 2014.  In the female category, MORGAN E. CUNNEEN of Vista, is a 17-year old certified youth league member at AMF Eagle Lanes, in San Marcos.  Over a four year span, Cunneen has maintained a 100% participation in league attendance. She has participated in Local and State Championship Tournaments, is a Local Association Officer/Director; a member of her Local Association Youth Leader/Youth Committee; and during the six years of league play, an Officer/Director; as well as a Youth Leader at the League Level. TRE WEBBER, CENTRAL SONOMA COUNTY, SELECTED AS 2014 STAR OF TOMORROW

TRE WEBBER is the 18-year old son of Troy and Tari Webber of Rohnert Park, California and is currently a Senior at Analy High School in Sebastopol. He has maintained a 3.28 GPA throughout his three years of high school and ranked 4th in his class of 284 students.  Webber possesses many skills and qualities.  He is mechanically inclined; has natural technical abilities; is meticulous, maintains strong work ethics, is self-motivated, conscientious, and has proven to be a strong problem solver in many areas.  He is gifted with learning new technologies while working with his hands in many fields of woodworking, auto repair and computers, to name just a few, and has his goals set on furthering his education in one or more of these fields while in college.
