On behalf of the bowlers in California, the CUSBC BVL Committee has donated $117,250 to the following Veterans Centers in California and $10,000 to the National BVL office for 2010-2011. Since 1959 through 2010-2011, the California BVL Fund has donated $8,683,375.20 to our California Veterans. We want to Thank all of you for your continued support of the California BVL.

Butch was born in 1940 and was raised in Como Park, Minnesota. His father was in the bowling business of building lanes and pro shops. Butch assisted his father by repairing pin setting machines, building bowling lanes and working in his pro shop drilling balls and waiting on customers. He set pins all through high school at 3 different centers and eventually graduated from Washington High School. ANTHONY J. ROSE of Carpinteria, son of Frank and Leanne Rose, graduated at age 16 from the Kolbe Academy High School in Napa and is currently a second-year student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is majoring in Hotel Administration and Events Management and continues to maintain an impressive 3.95 GPA, holding current membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) as well as Who’s Who’s Among American High School Students. The Senior Singles Tournament is open to all bowlers at least 55 years of age at the time of participation in the tournament. The format is six games total + handicap. This tournament is held in a different location each year. Winners in set age classifications will automatically qualify to the USBC National Seniors Tournament. Entry for the national event will be paid by the CUSBC.
